Jason & Lucia: GTA 6's Protagonists Explained
GTA 6 gives the series its first true dual-protagonist romance: Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a modern Bonnie and Clyde working the criminal underworld of Leonida. Lucia is also the first playable female lead in a mainline 3D-era GTA.
Lucia Caminos
Lucia opens the story in Leonida's prison system — the first trailer introduces her in a corrections facility jumpsuit. Rockstar's character material describes a fighter shaped by bad luck and worse choices, determined to change her odds. Her look in trailer footage — visible tattoos, gold jewelry, changing outfits — confirms she's fully customizable.
Jason Duval
Jason is described as looking for an easy life until he meets Lucia — a Leonida local with a military background who fell into working for drug runners. Trailer shots show him across a range of looks from beachwear to tactical gear, confirming an equally deep wardrobe.
What dual protagonists mean for customization
Two fixed characters means two curated customization catalogs rather than one generic system. RDR2 proved Rockstar's approach: hundreds of clothing items designed to fit one character's silhouette and story. Expect separate wardrobes, hairstyles, and tattoo sets for Jason and Lucia — each deeper than a shared system could be.
