GTA 6 Car Customization: What to Expect
If there's one customization system GTA 6 was born to perfect, it's cars. The game's Florida-inspired setting of Leonida is home to one of the most distinctive car cultures in America — donks, lowriders, slammed imports, and pastel classics — and the trailers lean into all of it.
What the trailers show
- Hi-riser donks on oversized wheels — a Florida signature — appear prominently in trailer footage.
- Lowriders and classic American muscle feature across street scenes.
- Airboats, jet skis, and boats throughout the trailers point to a serious watercraft lineup.
- Dense traffic variety suggests a vehicle roster well beyond GTA V's launch count.
The Los Santos Customs baseline
GTA V launched with full mod shops: paint, wheels, bumpers, spoilers, window tint, performance upgrades. GTA Online added benny's-style lowrider shops, liveries, wraps, and the Arena War and Tuners ecosystems. Expect GTA 6 to start from that complete feature set, not rebuild it.
- Full visual customization: paint, materials, liveries, wheels, body kits
- Performance tuning: engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, turbo
- A lowrider/donk specialist shop, given the setting's car culture
- Garage and collection display customization
- Watercraft customization — potentially a series first
